Matty

Matty joined us as an apprentice in 2022, He specialises in realism, and has recently moved onto skin. He’s always wanted to be a tattoo artist from a very young age and always enjoyed the creativity that drawing brought him, He followed the Skins and Needles page for a while saw the opportunity for an apprenticeship and decided to go for it.

What interests Matty the most about the industry is being able to work with people to create a design that they love and will be a part of them forever, he loves the realism style and would want to continue this to master and improve further. Matty is a huge horror fan and would love to do some more horror pieces.

His favourite part about tattooing so far is learning from other artists and improving his skills, he also enjoys getting feedback from other artists in the industry. Matty’s main inspiration is all things horror!

Outside of the studio, Matty loves going to the gym and staying active. As well as this, he loves taking care of animals especially his reptiles.
