We have a smaller venue in Durham’s ancient city centre which is very beautiful and picturesque. Located above our talented team of barbers at House of Gentlemen and opposite to Capriccio coffee shop.

If you are interested in getting a tattoo in finance the first thing you need to do is contact us to discuss your ideas and get a price.
We will then give you a link for a form that you can complete in your own time which will assess your eligibility and let you know the full process.
Payl8r use an affordability check so the search will not show up on your credit file. Payment options from 1-12 months available.
Once your agreement is completed, we can get your tattoo booked in for whenever suits you.
Finance options available for tattoos from £200 – £1500.
Finance is subject to creditworthiness and affordability assessments.
The legal age in the U.K. to get tattooed is 18+ and parental consent is not a form of ID. We do have a strict challenge 25 policy in place so please bring a form of valid and in date ID with you.
Valid forms of ID:
- Driving license
- Provisional driving license
Tattoos are quoted depending on size, style, artist and colour preference. Other things such as time, last minute design changes and cover-ups can affect the overall price too. Our tattoo consultants are able to provide you with an accurate quote.

Tattoo cover-ups are sometimes possible, but there are so many variables when it comes to this. The best way to see if we can do a cover-up for you is to come into the studio for a consultation, or send us pictures via our enquiry form.
Certain tattoos may need laser removal first to lighten it up so that a cover-up is then possible, this gives you more options with your new design.
Tattooing involves needles piercing the skin, so there is some discomfort involved. However, pain varies from person to person.

Areas with less fat and more nerve endings, such as the ribs, spine, and elbows, tend to be more painful. Less sensitive areas like the forearm or calf are usually less painful.
We do accommodate walk-in clients when possible, but appointments are recommended for guaranteed availability.
Appointments are recommended, especially for custom designs or with specific artists, but walk-ins are welcome when we have openings.
Communicate with your artist during the process to address concerns. In rare cases, we offer touch-ups or adjustments post-healing.

Our studio is owned by Matthew Salvin who is dedicated to creating a welcoming space for artists and clients.
The process includes consultation, design creation, tattooing, aftercare, and healing. Your artist will guide you through each step.

We require 48 hours notice in order to reschedule an appointment, otherwise this may result in a loss of deposit. Please contact us via the contact form below, email and phone call to let us know.
We recommend limiting the number of people accompanying you to ensure a comfortable tattooing environment.
For safety and comfort, it’s best to arrange childcare as our studio is not be suitable for children – please be aware that we cannot allow under 16s into the studio, please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment
Tattoo ink and the tattooing process are not recommended while breastfeeding due to potential health concerns. Consult with a healthcare professional for more information
Our studio periodically hosts guest artists from diverse backgrounds and styles. The availability of guest artists varies, so please check our website or contact us for information about upcoming guest artists and their specialties.
